Mark C. Burke, PE
Project Manager / Electrical

Mark has lived in the DC metro area since 1996 and has worked at two of the largest engineering firms in the area as an electrical engineer. His design experience includes hundreds of commercial, educational, government, restaurant, and retail facilities. Mark has also worked in sales where he gained expert experience in lighting systems, control panels, dimming systems, occupancy sensing and daylight controls.

In 2005, Mark started DDG Virginia Engineering to expand the market coverage of the very successful and competitive design services offered by DDG Engineering, Inc. Mark’s enthusiasm, experience and strong leadership skills have helped define our company vision and culture.

Mark graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1994 with a BS in Architectural Engineering – Environmental Option – Lighting Emphasis. He is an active member of the American Fire Alarm Association. Mark was Section President of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America from 2002 to 2004 and remains active today. He currently holds Professional Engineering licenses in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Washington, DC.

Mark is an ICC certified Electrical Plans Examiner and Energy Inspector. He is a certified Electrical Peer Reviewer in Fairfax County, Virginia.

David S. Foelsch. PE, LEED@AP
Project Manager / Mechanical

David has lived in the DC metropolitan area since 1989. He started his career at a local software company where he interfaced directly with customers and consultants to resolve technical issues with business intelligence software. In 2001, David had a career change to the field of Mechanical Engineering when he accepted a job at a large MEP consulting firm. After just two years with the company, he was promoted to project manager. Shortly after, David was selected to join the mission critical design group, which enabled him to work on their most complex mechanical engineering projects.

In 2004, David obtained his Professional Engineer license and became a LEED@ Accredited Professional. His experience includes a complete range of base building structures and interiors such as office buildings, mission critical facilities, restaurants, retail and educational facilities. David currently heads the mechanical and plumbing departments at DDG Virginia Engineering.

David graduated from Virginia Tech in 2000 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is an Associate Member of ASHRAE, an ICC certified Mechanical Plans Examiner and Energy Inspector. He is a certified Mechanical Peer Reviewer in Fairfax County, Virginia, and currently holds Professional Engineering licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
