DDG has supported the owners of the National Press Building (NPB) at 529 4th Street, NW in Washington, DC since the property was acquired in 2020, delivering a comprehensive range of services from our full suite of offerings. A major undertaking included the upgrade of the building’s chiller and boiler plant—a testament to the deep commitment of the entire team, from ownership through subcontractors. This effort reflects the collaborative spirit of a long-standing team of professionals dedicated to creating a healthy, energy-efficient, and safe built environment that serves as a positive symbol for DC and its community.
The repositioning of the property has involved a wide variety of impactful projects, from capital improvements to tenant build-to-suit, including a phased lobby and atrium refresh, as well as standout amenity spaces like the fitness center, bike room, conference center, and tenant lounge—all contributing to a one-of-a-kind user experience.
